Ski mom essentials, PAM’s PICKs

As a new ski mom, I’ve spent much of this season learning the does and don’ts packing list.
Packing for a ski trip, be it a day ski trip or an extended weekend ski trip, is quite the adventure. And, while I’ll save the gear tips for another time, here are my Pam’s Picks for ski mom skincare, ski mom packing finds, ski mom undies and other essentials I’ve been using pre, post, and on the slopes.
SKI MOM STAYS WARM & COMFY
HeatMax Hot Hands Instant Hand Warmers is a must for our family. I need to keep my hands and feet warm, so that I can enjoy the beautiful skiing. As long as you know your little one’s will not eat
Tommy John Women’s Second Skin Cheeky Panties has come out the winner of my extensive testing to find the most comfortable, warm and breathable undies. This is must-buy, ladies.
SKI MOM SKINCARE & BODY CARE
LOLI Beauty Chia Carrot Brûlée is a hydrating winner that can go on your face, lips, or body. I use it as a super rich moisturizer in the evening, after a day of skiing in the cold Vermont air. LOLI is created by a woman who’s been a beauty biz power player for decades, and is now making waves and keeping is super cleaner, greener with a brand I’ve been crushing on for months. PS The full ingredient list includes: Salvia Hispanica (Chia) Seed Oil, Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Seed Oil, Cera Alba (Beeswax), Hippophae Rhamnoides (Sea Buckthorn) Fruit Oil – so, basically, you can eat it!
Birkenstock Nourishing Leg and Foot Oil is another cleaner, greener product that you need to have in your travel ski bag. It’s a great way to revitalize and moisturize tired legs and feet. Did you even know that cork oak has anti-aging properties? Ya, neither did I, but my feet are loving me for this find.
SKI MOM STAYS ORGANIZED
Preta Lobue is a great choice for a day ski trip all-in-one bag. There is plenty of room for extra base layers for kids, lotions, hair care, snacks, etc. Plus, every section is clearly labeled, so my kids are able to help me pack things away where they belong. I’ve even taken it with me on my extended weekend ski trip to Killington, Vermont and we use it as our carry-all when heading to the lodge/town for the day.

SKI MOM SMARTER SNACKING
Noka superfood pouches are our new go-to smoothies. My kids love this plant-based protein brand, which I discovered via a nutritionist-approved subscription box – Boxed by Suri. And, yes Suri is a mompreneur, so show her some love.
This Saves Lives also came to me via Boxed by Suri, and I’m loving their taste, clean ingredients and mission to end childhood malnutrition. S’mores Blast is our personal favorite.
Pistachios are another plant protein power winner, for the whole family. Provided you don’t have allergies, this is an awesome snack to pop into a ziplock bag and stash in your ski pocket. PS Check out my recipe for pistachio oatmeal cookies.
