Enjoy this Mompreneur Monday and don’t forget to support a mom owned business!
When did you launch your business? We started the company in 2013.
How old are your kid? Miles is 3 (nearly 4!) and Juliet is 6
What is Owl’s Brew? At Owl’s Brew, we craft boozy beverages, using organic tea and botanicals as a base.
What or who inspires you to keep pushing your business forward? My co-founder, Maria — our partnership means a lot to me. And the brand itself, and its ethos. Most beverage companies use natural flavors, not whole ingredients. As a mom (and consumer) I just really want to be part of a food movement that pushes back against that.
What does it mean to you to Hustle Like a Mom? Working smarter not harder; putting something good into the world – even if it’s a little boozy!
What motivates you to hustle for your business, when mom life seems to be swallowing you whole? Blending tea and creating excellent beverages is a passion for me. And I love working with my team to make our brand and product better every day.
What’s your biggest challenge right now? We’re scaling — it’s amazing, but we keep bumping up against inventory issues!
How do you manage your days, your time? I have three major priorities that I reassess weekly — no matter what I’m doing, I make sure that I’m working towards those goals
What do you like to do to unwind and self care? I try to be focused and present when I’m home with my family— that investment in them is actually relaxing because I truly let go of the work day for a few hours…yoga and the occasional massage help also!

What has been your biggest “aha” moment this year? Maria and I started a podcast last week, Lemons and Lemonade. We’ve been talking about doing this for months. I think having a voice is so important, and it was just really fun to create a platform with Maria.
