Six 90s Fashion & Accessories You Actually Want to Wear

Hey mamas,

Last week, a pr firm sent me a fun package full of nostalgic candy from the 90’s, and Pretty Woman stick-on nails. It brought be back to the late 90’s when my mom let me purchase a pair of Sally Hansen stick-on nails in a light, French manicure print. I was fifteen and feeling fabulous.

Now, I’m thirty three and feeling even more fabulous. One reason could be the ridiculously wild, art-deco inspired stick-on nails I’m wearing! I wonder whatg the kids will think? I wonder what my husband will think?

I’m always looking for beauty short cuts, and it doesn’t get any easier than stick-on nails. Pretty Woman NYC has created really great options, and, as I type away, the sticky tape (I opted not to use the glue) is holding firm.

Each kit comes with 24 artificial nails, so you can find which size works for you. I have very tiny fingers and was still able to find the right fit, without having to file away sides.

90s Fashion Short Shorts

Who wears short shorts? Well, mom can wear short shorts, if the kids aren’t round or the kids are just too young to realize mom is hot enough to wear short shorts. Check out H&M for tons of affordable options under $20! #SexyMama

90s Fashion Denim on Denim

I can’t say I ever loved this look, although photos I recently uncovered prove otherwise – see below. When wearing several denim clothing items, I like to go with different shades. Or, I’m all about a denim bottom and denim cap. This acid wash denim cap is from Bebe -another 90’s relic I used to love. #WhereTheCoolKidsShop

90s Accessories Chokers

Blame it on Bella and Gigi Hadid, thaqt chokers are back. I don’t love the ultra thin, velvet styles from the 90s. I do enjoy a multi-strand option like the one you can create with StyleSting. For luxury buffs, Chanel recently got in a slew of divine choker options. If you’re in NYC, go to Bergdorf Goodman and ask for Ilona. #AllChokedUp

90s Tech Polaroid Camera

Your go-to accessory for upcoming picnic season is going to be a Polaroid. If you kept your old one, great. If not, you can buy one at Target. #TheOriginalInstagram

90s Beauty Press-on Nails

Save time, just press and go with Pretty Woman Designer Nail Kit available in 90’s beloved all-black nails and the nude French mani. #NailedIt

90s Fashion Crop Tops

This is an acquired taste – kind of like some your friends’ spouses . I also think, much like short shorts, this is something I wouldn’t rock at the annual family BBQ. I would do it on a vaca with the hubs. The photographed crochet top was purchased in Cuba, by me, nearly 15 years ago. But you can find similar styles at BooHoo or Forever 21. #BecauseIHitTheGym
